I am a UKCP registered Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist, and a member of the Guild of Psychotherapists, based in Hammersmith, West London.

I have extensive experience over the past 22 years of offering therapeutic services to Adults, children and Families. This has included working as an Honorary Adult Psychotherapist for the NHS, and setting up my own Private Psychotherapy Practice 8 years ago. Alongside this, l have a substantive history and commitment to the provision and delivery of services within the Public Sector: in this role I have set up and developed various joint services in relation to the mental health and the well-being of children/Families.

Additionally I have a Diploma in Systemic Supervision from the Institute of Family Therapy, and, as Clinical Practice Lead, have had a key role in promoting and developing best practice with key Professionals and across Teams.


How Can Psychotherapy Help?

While we have all experienced and dealt with difficulties in our lives, there may be times when we struggle to find a positive way forward. We may experience intense distress,anger, or a sense of emptiness and feelings of futility. We may also recognise self destructive patterns, for example, repeated involvement in unsatisfying relationships, or a pattern of emotional withdrawal and shutting down.

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to explore the roots of these difficulties and the impact of unresolved conflict{s} from the past on the present. It requires a commitment to looking at oneself, and exploring feelings that are often painful and uncomfortable. The relationship to the Therapist is central to this process, as it provides a safe, secure and containing space to work through personal issues. It enables us to develop a deeper and more reflective understanding of ‘self’, and our relationships with others.

While the process of regular Psychotherapy can be intense and demanding, it can also be enormously empowering and enriching, enabling you to be more fully and creatively involved in your own life and relationships.
